How to Make the Valentine’s Day Penguin Paper Craft

Step 1

Print the penguin template and cut out the pattern pieces. Trace the body base and wing pieces on gray construction paper; trace the beak and feet on orange paper. Trace the blush patterns on pink paper, and the front part of the body on white paper. Use scissors to cut out all the pieces.

Step 2

Using a glue stick or liquid craft glue, attach the front part of the body (white piece) onto the body base cutout.

Step 3

Apply a small amount of glue to the front top edge of each foot cutout. Attach both feet pieces to the back of the bottom edge of the body base.

Step 4

Take one wing cutout and apply glue along its outer edge; align the glued edge with the edge of the body base. (The wing should be attached to the body base along the side only; the rest of it should be free from glue.)

Step 5

Attach the second wing the same way as the first. Attach the beak cutout in the center of the face area (see photo below).

Step 6

Attach the blush cutouts on both cheeks. Use a Sharpie marker to add eyes to the penguin’s face.

Step 7

Cut a heart shape from the red construction paper. Attach the heart cutout under the wings of the penguin to complete the craft.
