Peacock Toilet Paper Roll Craft
Use an empty TP roll and some basic craft supplies to make this cute peacock toilet paper roll craft with your child!

Toilet paper roll crafts are an old standby for kids crafts, but this toilet paper roll peacock really takes it up a notch.
The detailed tail feathers really add to the finished appearance of the craft—but don’t worry, there’s a printable template to keep things simple. All you’ll have to do is trace and cut the pieces on the appropriate color of craft paper.
(Note: Older kids may be able to cut out the pieces themselves, but younger kids will need help or supervision, depending on their age.)

How to Make a Toilet Paper Roll Peacock
Step 1
Use the following colors for the peacock craft pieces:
- Dark blue – body and small feather markings
- Light blue – wings
- Dark green – large tail piece
- Light green – small tail piece
- Dark yellow – large feather markings
- Light yellow – beak
- White – eyes
Trace the template patterns on the selected craft papers and cut them out neatly.

Step 2
Using liquid craft glue, attach the small tail feather markings to the larger tail feather markings (the teardrop cutouts).

Step 3
Attach the wing cutouts on both sides of the peacock’s body.

Step 4
Use a black Sharpie or gel pen to shade in the black part of the eyes as shown below.
Attach the eyes and the beak cutouts to the peacock’s head.

Step 5
Attach the small tail cutout to the front of the large tail cutout. Cut two slits on the bottom edge of the tail base, keeping the slits the same distance apart as the diameter of the toilet paper roll.

Step 6
Apply glue on the outer part edge of the tail base near the scalloped border. Place the teardrop-shaped feather patterns on the glued areas.

Step 7
Attach all the teardrop-shaped feather patterns on the tail base. Use a black Sharpie or gel pen to add details to the center of the feather patterns.

Step 8
Cut an empty toilet paper roll in half.

Step 9
Cover the TP roll with the same blue craft paper used for the peacock’s body.

Step 10
Attach the peacock’s body to the front side of the covered toilet paper roll.

Step 11
Insert the top of the toilet paper roll into the slits on the peacock’s tail to complete the craft.
