The Best Homeschool Creationist Curriculum

Use this homeschool creationist curriculum to help your kids get answers to their questions about Creation, evolution, and other Biblical issues.

I can’t remember a time when I didn’t know the Biblical account of Creation. My parents, Sunday school teachers, and Christian school curriculum all taught me the simple truth that God created all things.

Later, as a freshman in college, I took a course on Genesis that reinforced my faith and provided solid scientific evidence for many of my beliefs.

That class made such an impact on my life that I have kept my textbook all these years and still consider it one of the best books I’ve ever read. (It’s called The Genesis Record, if you’re wondering.)

I want to give my kids that kind of foundation, too. So I was delighted to find a curriculum that answers the questions many teens have about Creation and evolution: Master Books Cultural Issues Vol. 1: Creation/Evolution and the Bible.

I received this product for free and was compensated for my time. All thoughts and opinions are my own; I was not required to post a positive review.

Why We Love Master Books Homeschool Curriculum

Master Books is a longtime curriculum favorite of homeschool families. If you’ve used any of their courses, you’ll understand why homeschoolers love them.

With over 25 years of homeschooling experience, the Master Books curriculum team has developed an eclectic curriculum that combines the best features of a variety of learning methods.

For example, the living stories are reminiscent of a Charlotte Mason approach, while the hands-on aspect is much like the Montessori method.

Most importantly, every Master Books course is built on Biblical truth and includes apologetics to help students understand and defend what they believe.

Our Favorite Homeschool Creationist Curriculum

When I found out that Master Books had a solid creationist curriculum, I knew it was something I wanted to try. And I have not been disappointed!

Master Books Cultural Issues Vol. 1: Creation/Evolution and the Bible is a high school course that addresses some of the most common questions about science and the Bible, helping teens to build a solid foundation for their beliefs.

Students will learn to think critically and apply a Biblical worldview to subjects like Creation, evolution, carbon dating, Noah’s ark and the Flood, and more.

Have younger learners? I recommend this Creation-based elementary science homeschool curriculum from Master Books!

Solid Biblical Approach

The texts for this course are two of The New Answers Books from Answers in Genesis, the world’s largest apologetics ministry. Edited by Ken Ham, these books are solid gold for Christian homeschoolers.

The books are written in a question and answer format, with Scripture references to back up the authors’ claims. For example, in the chapter about Noah’s ark and the Flood, these questions (and more) are addressed:

  • How could Noah build the ark?
  • How could Noah round up so many animals?
  • Were dinosaurs on Noah’s ark?
  • How could Noah fit all the animals on the ark?
  • How could a flood destroy every living thing?
  • Where did all the water go?

I love that these questions break the chapters and topics into bite-size chunks. This makes it SO much easier to absorb the information and internalize the facts behind the answers.

Easy to Use

In addition to The New Answers Books, the Cultural Issues Vol. I curriculum pack contains an easy-to-use Teacher Guide that completes the curriculum.

Yes, you read that right—there are NO other components to juggle! There is no separate workbook, test booklet, or answer key. Everything necessary to complete the course is included in one handy resource.

In the front of the Teacher Guide is a suggested schedule that details which pages to read and which worksheet to complete for each lesson. I appreciate not having to spend precious minutes planning lessons. Such a timesaver!

The Teacher Guide also contains all the student worksheets and tests. Each day I can just check the schedule, add the assigned reading to my son’s assignment sheet, and pull out the worksheet that goes with it.

Finally, in the back of the Teacher Guide is the answer key for all the worksheets and tests. I absolutely LOVE that everything—from lesson plans to worksheets to answers—is all in one place when I need it.

Affordable

In a time when prices are constantly increasing, I’m thrilled to have found a curriculum that is truly affordable.

Currently Cultural Issues Vol. I: Creation/Evolution and the Bible can be purchased for only $44.77. If you’re teaching more than one student, or if you plan to reuse the curriculum another year, you only need to buy a new Teacher Guide for $17.59.

And really, I can’t put a price on giving my teens a solid Biblical foundation that will last them for a lifetime.
