Porcupine Meatballs

Ingredients
  

  • Meatballs:
  • 2 lbs. ground beef
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/4 c. rice uncooked
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • Sauce:
  • 1 29oz can tomato sauce
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar

Instructions
 

  • Combine all ingredients for meatballs. Shape into 12-14 balls; place in large pan.
  • Combine ingredients for sauce; pour over meatballs.
  • Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer, covered, for one hour, or until done. (Add a small amount of additional water if sauce becomes too thick.)
