No-Oven Baked Potatoes {Slow Cooker Recipe}
Ingredients
- Potatoes your choice
Instructions
- Scrub potatoes thoroughly. Place in slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on high for 4-5 hours OR cook on low for 8-10 hours.
- Note: Cooking time may need to be adjusted based on how full your slow cooker is filled. If the crock is more than 2/3 full, plan for a longer cooking time; if less than half full, potatoes may be done sooner.
I’ve done “baked” potatoes in the slow cooker before, but wrapped mine in tin foil. I thought they were horrible – – steamed and gummy. Your directions show to do it without foil. Are they fluffy your way, or still a steamed texture?
I really didn’t notice any difference between these and the ones baked in the oven. But perhaps I just love potatoes enough that it doesn’t matter–I’m sorry, I’m not much help.
