How to Make a Homeschool Convention a Family Field Trip
1. Plan fun activites for your children to enjoy while you are occupied.
While you are busy shopping for curriculum, attending workshops, or chatting with other homeschoolers, plan for your children to enjoy some activities of their own.

- REAL FAITH for the REAL WORLD Teen Track for ages 13 and up
2. Remember your family’s field trip traditions.
Perhaps you always take a family snapshot during field trips. Or maybe you stop for ice cream on the way home. Whatever your family’s traditions may be, remember to include them during your homeschool convention trip.
3. Plan to visit one or more local educational attractions.
Traveling to a homeschool convention gives your family the chance to visit places that would normally not be within driving distance. Take full advantage of this opportunity!

William Howard Taft National Historic Site
Visit the home of William Howard Taft, former President and Chief Justice of the United States. Visitors can take a guided tour of period rooms and explore interactive exhibition areas.
