How to Make the Frog Valentine Paper Craft
Step 1
Select two shades of green construction paper: one shade for the head, body, lower legs, and upper legs, and a second shade for the belly. Choose light pink paper for the blush on the cheeks, red paper for the heart, and white paper for the eyes.
Using the printable frog template, trace each piece on the appropriate shade of construction paper. Cut out all the pieces.
Step 2
Using a black Sharpie or gel pen, shade in the frog’s eyes as shown in the photo below.
Use a glue stick or liquid craft glue to attach the eye cutouts onto the rounded areas at the top of the frog’s head.
Step 3
Using a glue stick or liquid craft glue, attach the blush cutouts on both cheeks. Use a Sharpie or gel pen to draw the mouth and nose on the frog’s face as shown in the photo below.
Step 4
Use glue to attach the belly cutout to the bottom edge of the frog’s body.
Step 5
Use glue to attach the completed head cutout to the top edge of the frog’s body.
Step 6
Apply a small amount of glue to the upper sides of the frog’s body, as shown.
Step 7
Attach the upper legs on both sides of the frog’s body. (The ends of the legs will extend beyond the body.)
Step 8
Using scissors, trim the extra length off of the upper legs, aligning the edges with the edges with the frog’s body.
Step 9
Use glue to attach the lower legs to the back of the frog’s body on each side near the bottom edge.
Slide the heart cutout under the upper legs. Secure with a small amount of glue.
